About us

The focus of our ministry

We want all people, young and old, to have the opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus and his love. We run fun events for children, young people and families at key points in the year to make Jesus known in our community.

Impact Thame evolved from Lighthouse Thame & Villages, which ran successful and well-known summer holiday clubs for many years.

We are building on the great work that Lighthouse did in Thame as we look to meeting the needs of the next generation. We are a registered charity operating in and around Thame in Oxfordshire.

Our approach

The focus of our ministry

To reach children, young people and their families including those not currently in our churches, with the good news of Jesus, by partnering with local churches and supporting them in their local vision.

The change we want to see

Our vision is for children, young people and their families to have the opportunity to know Jesus as their Saviour and friend, by hearing God’s word presented in a way they can understand.

What we believe

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us and that it shows us how to live. Above all we believe that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to die and rise again, so that our sins might be forgiven, inviting us to come and know him. We know, from our experience, that God is able to provide a peace and hope, through the work of the Holy Spirit, which cannot be found anywhere else.

Our Finances

All our activities are resourced by volunteers and supported by voluntary donations. We do not charge for our events because we want them to be open and accessible to everyone. We are very grateful for grants from Thame churches but these are not sufficient to cover all our costs, so we invite donations from those attending each event.

In the year ending 30th September 2025 we received grants of £1,200 from local churches and individual donations of £1,531. This income was not sufficient to cover our expenditure of £4,185 so we had a deficit of £380, which was funded by drawing on our reserves.
